Thar & Feather “Beat the Winter Blues” Promotion – Terms and Conditions

By entering this promotion, entrants are deemed to have accepted these terms and conditions.

Promoter

The promoter is the Southland Tavern/Thar & Feather, corner of McQuarrie Street and Elles Road, Invercargill. Phone: 03 216 8094.

Promotion period

The promotion opens when promotional material is first published and closes at 10.00pm on Sunday 26 July 2026. Entries received after the closing time will not be accepted.

Eligibility

Entry is open to New Zealand residents aged 18 years and over.

Employees of the promoter, ILT, participating prize partners, and their immediate family members are not eligible to enter.

How to enter

To enter, a person must purchase a main meal at Thar & Feather during the promotion period and complete the required entry details in the manner directed by the promoter.

Each person paying for a main meal is entitled to one entry only. If a bill is split and paid separately, each paying diner may receive one entry.

Entry is by way of entry form at the time of paying.

No additional fee applies to enter other than the normal purchase price of the qualifying meal.

Incomplete, illegible, late, or duplicate entries may be deemed invalid at the promoter’s discretion.

Prize

There is one prize package with a total indicative value of approximately NZD $700, comprising:

  • 2026 season tickets to the Stags, including 2 adult tickets and up to 2 children aged under 14 admitted free with each adult ticket, subject to the ticket issuer’s terms and conditions.

  • One night’s accommodation in a Queen/Queen room for 2 adults and up to 2 children aged under 10, including breakfast. This must be redeemed by 26 July 2027.

  • One Thar & Feather dining voucher valued at NZD $100, must be redeemed by 26 July 2027.

The prize is not transferable, exchangeable, or redeemable for cash. If any part of the prize becomes unavailable for reasons beyond the promoter’s control, the promoter reserves the right to substitute that part of the prize with an item of equal or greater value, subject to applicable law.

Any additional costs associated with taking or using the prize, including travel, incidental expenses, spending money, or any costs not expressly stated as included, are the responsibility of the winner.

Prize draw and notification

The winner will be drawn at random on Monday 27 July 2026 from all valid entries received during the promotion period.

The winner will be notified by phone or email using the contact details provided with their entry. If the winner cannot be contacted within 5 working days, or the prize is not claimed within that time, the promoter may redraw the prize from the remaining valid entries.

The promoter’s decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

Verification and disqualification

The promoter reserves the right to verify the validity of entries and the eligibility of entrants, including age and identity.

The promoter may disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, submits an entry that is not in accordance with these terms and conditions, or engages in unlawful or improper conduct.

Privacy

Personal information collected in connection with this promotion will be used for the administration of the promotion, including contacting the winner.

The promoter may also use entrant information for related promotional purposes where the entrant has agreed to this. Entrants may request access to or correction of their personal information by contacting the promoter.

Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the promoter is not responsible for any loss, damage, or injury suffered or sustained in connection with the promotion or the prize, except for any liability that cannot be excluded by law.

The promoter is not responsible for any late, lost, misdirected, incomplete, or incorrectly submitted entries, or for any technical or communications issues affecting the promotion.

General

The promoter reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions, suspend, or cancel the promotion only to the extent permitted by New Zealand law.

This promotion is run as a sales promotion for the purpose of promoting goods and services sold by the promoter.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand.
